Screen Digest estimates the penetration rate of digital TV in the UK grew from 26.23% of TV households in 2000 to 38.79% last year. Furthermore, the organization projects 43.22% of TV households in the UK will have digital TV by the end of this year.
According to Informa Media Group, the UK comes in second place behind the US on a list of top digital TV countries based on the number of households with the technology. Informa estimates roughly 10.8 million households in the UK have digital TV. [eMarketer]
