Nog 1 aanvulling, die ik bewust even buiten de haken van het artikel zelf wil plaatsen: Bauerlein heeft http://www.dumbestgeneration.com. Daar kun je zijn argument in het kort lezen als een aantal Flash-points. De tegenpartij zal ik maar zeggen, heeft http://www.thedumbestgeneration.com. Ze staan echt met de koppen tegen elkaar. Daar kun je het volgende lezen: "If you're born in the baby boom echo and are a part of Generation Y—the Millenials, or what Don Tapscott refers to as the Net Generation—you might feel targeted by what is becoming an increasingly loud attack against your character and intellect. This public assault is widespread, as teachers, parents and the media continue to paint an extreme, yet increasingly popular, image of youth…and the picture isn't pretty. Frankly, it's quite offensive." Hier in Nederland zijn we nog niet zover om de discussie zo te voeren. Maar ik zal het zo eens voorleggen aan de studenten op de HU. Goedemorgen.
