AkzoNobel’s Decorative Paints (DP) business area adds color to people’s lives with a full range of interior and exterior decoration and protection products for the trade and consumer markets. In particular you translate global initiatives to successful local activities, using activation toolkits provided by the global team.

Working from our site in Sassenheim, the Netherlands, you are part of a large Marketing Department for the Netherlands that is responsible for brand development and the creation of strategic plans for the entire marketing mix.
One of the Department’s objectives is to build strong local brands by translating the commonly developed Global/North West Europe vision to the Dutch context. Your core role lies in developing and delivering the agreed local activation of the initiatives and brands within this vision. This involves all brands and channels (Trade, Large and Small Scale Outlets, Online) and requires you to lead the media strategy while managing and evaluating media and creative agencies.
You will typically be involved in at least 8 projects per year, relating to at least six brands. Across all activities you align closely with Brand Marketing, Customer Marketing and Sales. You also interact frequently with cluster and global marketing to align execution within the Marketing & Sales Unit.
As and when necessary you contribute to global co-creation processes by sharing local insights and best practices.
