  • Important to remember when you create a business page on Google plus: optimize for SEO.
  • Don’t forget to add your phone number and pull in your Google place page listing.
  • Share your own content (think strategically about what content you share here vs other channels)
  • Create unique native content (research shows Google plus can get more comments with native posts)

  • Mention customers, partners, suppliers by name
  • Can’t tag until they follow you

Google plus brand pages: tips on sharing content

  • Determine if content is shareable or not
  • Don’t just feed press releases
  • Ask your followers what type of content they would like to see
  • Ask your customers/clients for feedback

What are some good strategies for expanding your network for your company pages?

  • re-post and cross-promote on all your social media networks
  • Get a Google plus link on your website
  • Make sure your profile is open to search
  • Use circles to communicate with clients, media, etc.
  • Add your industry or business name as a ‘Spark’ (use it like a Google Alert)
