Is the PR industry using online effectively to communicate information to the press? A survey of PR managers and journalists conducted by Benchmark Research May 2004. The survey was conducted with telephone interviews of 150 PR Managers and 50 journalists. Our objective was to answer the following questions:

– How important are online communication channels?

– What are the needs of journalists online?

– Are PRO’s fulfilling these needs?

– Is the PR industry using or mis-using online technologies?

– If best use of online is not being made, why?
